L’Internazionale Football Club nasce il 9 marzo 1908, al ristorante "L’Orologio" di Milano, per iniziativa di un gruppo di "dissidenti" del Milan, in disaccordo con le politiche sportive e commerciali rossonere. Durante la cena i "ribelli" scrivono lo statuto della società e ne scelgono nomi e colori simbolici: il nero e l’azzurro.
Il nome del club deriva dalla volontà dei soci di accettare giocatori non solo italiani ma anche stranieri. Oggi è una tra le società più note del mondo ed è la squadra più scudettata d’Italia dopo Juventus e Milan.

«Nascerà qui al ristorante "L’orologio", ritrovo di artisti, e sarà per sempre una squadra di grande talento. Questa notte splendida darà i colori al nostro stemma: il nero e l’azzurro sullo sfondo d’oro delle stelle. Si chiamerà Internazionale, perché noi siamo fratelli del mondo. (Milano, 9 marzo 1908)»
